Here at Chimera, we make a range of paper products for fire lighting, pets etc…
Briquettes
Our main product is paper briquettes, these briquettes are a renewable source of energy that are manufactured entirely from waste paper/newspaper. This waste paper is collected from classrooms at Bingley Grammar School and is then shredded, wetted and compacted to make house-brick sized blocks of combustible material.
These briquettes are a great alternative to recycling paper the conventional way, which leaves a large amount of waste ink. Also, the only energy that is used during this process is that used to shred the paper.

Pet Bedding
Pet bedding is now also on sale from Chimera BECo. This pet bedding is made from 100% shredded paper. The method has been researched and can be classified as pet safe, as we try and use paper with as little ink in as possible.

Briquette Making classes/ makers
Chimera will hopefully soon be selling tutorials on how to efficiently make a good quality paper briquette. These classes will come with a 30 min (aprx) tutorial and with a card in case you forget how to make them. The classes will also come with a briquette maker.
