Our first competition win!

So, on Wednesday 19 March, our team went to Huddersfield to compete against 6 other similar groups of people for the chance to win a rather nice sum of money (and a shiny trophy)

What did we do?

We had to being by giving a 'Speed Pitch' in which we had 2 minutes to get the features and benefits of our product to each judge. This was worth 25% of our mark

We then had to give a 5-8 minute presentation to the other groups and judges, in which we were given some large sheets of paper and such to present with. We included sections from our speed pitch, part of our history, and a look into the future with our product.

The winnings

So, we ended up winning. But what did we earn?

For our efforts, we won £250 and a shiny trophy (which is now placed in a prominent position in our school reception). This money will go towards making our product even better.

Aside from the winnings, we also learnt valuable information about presenting ourselves in a convinving manner, and how well we can work as a team.
